Imprisoned Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo won the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for using nonviolence to demand fundamental human rights in his homeland. The award ignited a furious response from China, which accused the Norwegian Nobel Committee of violating its own principles by honoring "a criminal."
I think this fits in perfectly of what we have been talking about in class and the six principles of government and how some governments deny there people basic human rights. In china all the information on Liu is being censored so he cannot help enforce change or be a hero to the chinese people. Its a shame that chinas government has such huge censorship on all media but at least there are still people in china willing to fight for their rights.
